Book Review:

Sunny Song Will Never be Famous by Suzanne Park

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Sunny Song will Never be Famous follows Korean American Sunny Song, a social media influencer who is sent to a digital detox camp on a farm. In my opinion, there was a weak plot and the side characters lacked depth, which made the book difficult to read. On the other hand, it has a unique concept, and I enjoyed the diverse characters and detailed settings. Sunny is a great protagonist—she doesn’t hesitate to stand up for what she believes in. Sadly, the unorganized procession of the plot and the pointless interactions between characters sometimes overshadowed the book’s strengths.  Overall, I give the book 3 stars.
