The following exhibits will be on display for two months from Friday, June 2, 2023, through Tuesday, August 1, 2023:
First Friday a monthly opening-night reception for all the artists of the library’s galleries, will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 6:30—9:00 pm. Live music will be provided by Fetherston & Tiller.

Summer in the City
“Summer in the City”—recent works by Metro Richmond Artists. Local members of Metro Richmond Arts will display paintings, mosaics, photography and more, and at the opening reception, they will show you many of the materials they use to make art. Come meet the artists!

Founded in 1998, Scenic Virginia is the only statewide conservation non-profit dedicated exclusively to the preservation, protection, and enhancement of the scenic beauty of our Commonwealth, with a particular focus on the preservation of significant views and vistas.
Chris Nelson
Honest Impressions
Chris Nelson studied art at VCU and then took a 20-year hiatus from the art world to fly helicopters. Drawing influence from classical painters, contemporary illustrators and abstract expressionists, his focus is on small scale moments and finding interesting shapes in ordinary objects.
Laila Winfree
Feelings
The gallery will feature the implications of uncertainty. There will be an outpouring of brash yet simple feelings and more concentrated works of how our individual issues can turn our feelings complex…by Richmond artist Laila Winfree.
John Moon
An artist, architect and designer from very early on having studied art, design and architecture at VCU and England and Scotland.
