From Pride crafts and fuse beads to rainbow STEAM experiments and teen-led discussions, Richmond Public Library has a variety of Pride Month programs happening throughout June. Take part in events for all ages at branches across the city. Come explore identity, celebrate inclusivity, and create something colorful along the way.

The Crafting Hour: Pride Porch Ornament

Adults—Celebrate Pride Month with a handmade Pride rainbow mobile made of modeling Clay. Registration required.

Teens—Teen Pride Alliance is a safe space for LGBTQ+ and ally teens to hang out, discuss topics, and join activities. Each meeting includes a craft and suggested discussion, but the group is member-led and shaped by participants’ interests.

Jenn Deuell is the Library/Community Services Manager of Outreach & Engagement at Richmond Public Library. She is a native of Fredericksburg, VA but has lived in Richmond for long enough that she now considers it home. She (of course) loves reading and has found joy in audiobooks since becoming the parent of two young children. Her other hobbies include traveling and spending time with family, including her rescued pit bull.
