Richmond Public Library Foundation relies on donations to support Richmond Public Library’s mission to Inform, Enrich, and Empower.
Your donations support valuable library programs like:
RVA Reads
Richmond Public Library’s early literacy program connects young Richmonders with books and helps build school readiness and early literacy skills. Active in daycares, childcare centers, and Richmond Public School’s preschool centers. For more details and to sign up to volunteer, visit here.
Gellman Concert Series
Offers free concerts highlighting numerous genres to the public since 1973. If you can’t join us in person, you can watch online here.
The Richmond Room
Home to Richmond Public Library’s Business, Law, and Nonprofit resources. Also a good place to start your genealogy, family, or neighborhood history research in Local History and Special Collections.
Summer Intern Program
Summer is a key time for libraries, children, and literacy. With your support, the Foundation offers a structured, mentored, and paid college intern program. This program increases library capacity and helps young families connect with literacy resources and programs.
Read-Up Richmond
Read Up Richmond is an opportunity for people from different walks of life to come together, learn together, and enter into a conversation with our larger community. This program is supported by the Foundation and the Friends.
