We’re halfway into summer and there is still time to enter our Adult Summer Reading program.

Each branch has reading logs for adults to pick up and use for logging what they are reading. Want to print a log at home? Just go to our Summer Reading page and download a copy.

Participation is simple. As you read through the summer, jot down a title, the author and a three word review. When you have five listed on your log you can drop it into an entry box at your local branch. You’ll receive a great pen printed with our summer reading theme for entering. You are welcome to enter more than once if you have more than five books in your to-be-read pile!

Summer Reading ends on August 1, 2026 and each location will have a drawing for prizes for adults who have participated. Prizes include a book tote from the Friends of Richmond Public Library, coupons to the Friends Fall Book Sale, two tickets to the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, and two tickets to a Flying Squirrels game in August!
