If you love spooky season like I do, then you are loving life right now. It’s the best time of year (IMO). A time when the weather gets little chilly, the leaves start turning colors, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING becomes available, and little ghosts and goblins are hiding around the corner. I love the cozy nights and the spooky atmosphere. I love it all…and so does RPL! We have several fun events planned for you as well as an abundance of great books from eerie to downright terrifying. Check them out!

What’s Happening:

All month – Westover Teens Halloween Garland monthly take & make craft is a great way to kick off the month.

10/4 – Make some No-Sew Halloween Plushies at East End’s Get Crafty Together program.

10/5 – Try your hand at some Recycled Book Pumpkins for Teens at Belmont.

10/11 – Get ready to brew potions and cast spells by making a Witch’s Cauldron at the kids’ program, Westover Hills Crafts.

10/14 – Travel to Transylvania for an animated monster-themed comedy with Ginter Park’s Cinema Saturday’s and the movie Hotel Transylvania.

10/16 – As the leaves fall and the nights grow longer, join us for a hauntingly good time at Broad Rock’s Monday Movie Night featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas.

10/18 – While spiders can be spooky, their webs are truly works of art! Make a Water Color Spider Web Painting at our Belmont Branch.

10/18 – Bring out your inner artist and Paint Mini Pumpkins at Ginter Park.

10/18 – Have you ever seen a pumpkin erupt with froth? Well, you’re about to! Make a Pumpkin Volcano at East End.

10/19 – You’re in luck! Another opportunity for Pumpkin Painting at our Broad Rock Branch.

10/23 – Gather your closest ghouls and goblins, wear your comfiest clothes, and prepare to be captivated by The Witches at Broad Rock’s Monday Movie Night.

10/26 – Become and engineer and tackle Five Pumpkins Engineering Challenge to create a fence that can withstand the weight of five pumpkins!
